oh anna, you don't party that hard...i can tell. poseurs, the lot of you. "hip", i'll grant you both, but "fun" or "funny"...i guess otherwise. if only "hipster" meant interesting or intelligent or friendly or funny or genuine. unfortunately, that word implies neophyte audiophile, small-towner, scenester, groupie, mental midget, judgemental, superficial, and lacking in party prowess. having a blog that shows how cool you are is like dressing in drag- a ridiculous presentation of what you aren't, or more accurately, what you would like to be and can't. you aren't even the silly the character you act and dress as if you were. i'm sorry, but this all smacks of phony, commercial, "canned-culture", cliched,...stuff. i just wish you wouldn't comment on things you don't really care about... just because. i guess even cool people like "jinners" need a to mention cool media so when going to bed they can tell themselves, "yes, dammit, i'm am the person i pretend to be." frederico fellini
what are you talking about? i'm far from hip. if you actually knew me, you would know that, "frederick fellini". was that the most pretentious signature you could think of? does that mean you don't like russ meyer, and only like foreign directors often screened in film classes across the country? dude, come on, i studied film in college.
my "alright already, i'm hip!" headline is a quote from faster pussycat kill kill, one of the most quotable movies ever. i used to walk around my dorm room mimicking the exaggerated exasperation of that the bombshell blonde in that movie as she snapped her fingers and lifted one knee.
another one of my favorite quotes from the movie: soft drink? i'm italian-a. i like-a everything a hard-a.
as an aside, i am currently covered in many unflattering mosquito bites. benadryl is NOT helping. does that mean i have west nile?

because while you hate the minutiae of other people's lives, you can't resist reading about them and passing vague character judgements based on what? on the fact that we know who russ meyer is? that we really truly don't know who he is personally and really truly aren't passionate with all our souls that he is dead? give me a break.
you watch tv, listen to music, you play on the computer? you're a part of pop culture--which is indisputably "phony, commercial, and cliched"--you observe it, absorb it, hate it, love it, and it passes through you..it doesn't make you any more than it makes us. it's trivia and trivial--just like this "party prowess" that jin and i seem to lack.
what is that? what is this party prowess? is it a score card based on drinking, drugs and group sex? do you win if you party so hard that you black out for days at a time and have to get treated for your stds?
i don't pretend to be anyone i am not, it's too much effort to live like that, looking for the approval of people like you.
how lonely it must be to stay up into the wee hours of the morning hating people you've never met, but have only read about online. at least i can sleep at night.
