OK I AM COMPLETELY IN LOVE WITH ARCADE FIRE!

after last night's performance at the merge records showcase at mercury lounge, which was packed and sold out, i am with the thousands of other converted followers. arcade fire rules!!! i haven't seen pure, adrenaline-filled rock like that IN AGES. if i ever thought the music of today was uninspiring, i was proved wrong last night as me and a handful of others jumped up and down in jubilee, singing along to the epic cascades...



while i don't have time to do a full review today of the show, i do have a lil' announcement... bowery ballroom tells me the show will probably sell out today. TODAY. three weeks before the show!

the band also got a nice review from the village voice... who compared them to the cure and the pixies. while i don't necessarily see the comparison, who would complain about those comparisons????
