** dfa 1979 must have gotten stuck in the time machine because they canceled their mercury lounge show. lame. man man, read yellow and a place to bury strangers are still playing though.

on a sidenote: i was on the subway this morning listening to music with closed eyes. this homeless lady tapped me on the shoulder to awaken me from my dreamy subway slumber. she mumbled something about spare change. i said i didn't have any. she saw me snapping my gum, and asked for a piece of gum. i happily gave it to her. just a new york moment i thought i would share.
