jinners: why do you come here? and why do you hang around?

it is still snowing

what does one do on a boring snowy day? in my case, i totally canceled almost all of my plans for yesterday and stayed in. snowed in.

on a side note, i am finally getting around to listening to the dears' no cities left (i'm slow). they sound like a dark, gothic version of blur.

i guess this is what happens when you are stranded in your own apartment. for me this is a special circumstance afforded only by severe weather conditions. so i'm finding out what i actually do when i'm home... activities include knitting the big black thing i've been working on for two years, listening to music newly uploaded to my ipod, finding gems in my video cassette collection, including live pavement footage and my own private idaho, remembering to water the plants annie hart gave to me, doing laundry, and reading joyce maynard's at home in the world (how appropriately titled is that?).

hey, it's matthew. just wanted to say, the dears was my number one of 2004. most people say it's a smiths-morrissey rip off, but i definitely hear more blur than moz.
