knit fit

my god, i spent all day knitting my big black nothing while watching project runway with heidi klum on bravo. this is what happens when i come home to cable tv in pennsylvania. the boob tube just zaps all of my energy. it made me want to buy that new victoria secrets pushup bra (with no padding) and sew some fabric together. boob tube, indeed.

now i am going to spend the rest of the night reading as much of joyce maynard's memoir, at home in the world, as i can before i fall asleep. i am just getting to the juicy parts about her relationship with j.d. salinger, aka jerry. as i'm reading about her life, there is so much i realize i have in common with joyce. it's really uncanny. and the reason i started reading it? my cousin told me that i would relate to joyce a lot. she was right. except i never slept with j.d. salinger. at least not to my knowledge.

also: i cannot wait to get back to new york. please welcome me back properly.

also: i will most likely be attending futureheads/shout out louds on tuesday... if the music gods don't throw a wrench into my social life as they tend to do. who else is going? tequila tuesday, peeps. let's celebrate.

also: knife skills will be heading down to sxsw. before they leave though you can catch them on wednesday, february 23 FOR FREE @ the death disco party at the delancey. they go on at 10:30. come and party.
