kayrock and wolfy - one sixpack short of a hippie death cult

the first time i met wolfy, he was bartending at a bar around the corner of my house called sweetups. he was cute and charming and sometimes he would be missing a tooth. that's a pretty distinctive look. then i remember meeting kayrock, though i don't remember the exact moment or place... most likely in the smoke haze of luxx (rip), where we all used to hang out a lot back in its heyday.
when anna and i were putting on the On the Moon Music rock and roll garage sale at luxx, kayrock and wolfy always took a booth to sell their screenprinted rock posters. i bought two: one for karaoke night at sweetups and one for the nada surf/sondre lerche tour. both are hanging in my room now.
you might know of them from their "fuck bush" shirts... all around town. or that brown sugar tank that beyonce wore on the cover of rolling stone a while back. strange but true.
tonight, jessica murray projects presents "one sixpack short of a hippie death cult," which will feature the posters and prints of kayrock and wolfy. the reception is tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. so if you want to see all fo the rad work they've produced, check it out tonight!
there are also a series of concerts attached to this exhibit where kayrock and wolfy will screen a poster for each show. the first show features knife skills, no things (x liars, x him) and narchitect (x parts and labor) on july 13 at jessica murray projects. for more details, click here.
