syndication
last night i went to the syndicate party @ downtime, and it turned into a packed shitshow... but not the good kind. most of the people at the party were industry or college radio (makes sense since the syndicate is a radio promotion company), so it was a pretty diverse mix. i ended up running into a ton of people there, which was cool, because i didn't really expect to know anyone. they had all sorts of goodies for attendees -- everything from ascap/syndicate earplugs, pretzels, popcorn, twizzlers, ring pops, taffy, energy drinks and free beer and well drinks. there were three floors to the place, and each floor had a shitload of people. there were also bands playing on the bottom floor... but whoever i caught on stage (stretch arm strong? say anything? nightmare of you?) said something really cheesy to the audience: "this one is for the ladies!" i thought for a second that i was an extra in a scene for some awful WB teen drama. the sweaty room was too much for me, so we made our way to the top floor again, finished our beer and then headed back out into the open air. it was pretty funny.
