happy birthday, doug marvin



the other night i found myself walking over to the levee once again to celebrate doug marvin's birthday. all of my friends seem to like celebrating at the levee, and really, what's not to like? cheap drinks, free cheeseballs, connect four, boggle, erotic photo hunt, a pool table, a pinball machine and more! i schooled dtl in connect four and got to catch up with some nice folks, including rod and the au revoir simone gang. joe and i teamed up once again at pool. our first game was with these dudes who were total showoffs. one guy kept shooting with one hand, but to his credit, his shots were usually accurate. his flashy playing rankled some feathers, but i really didn't give a shit, especially when he scratched the 8 ball. for some reason, my pool game was better than usual -- perhaps because i was not blearingly drunk -- and i actually got some compliments on my shots from the boys. i'm far from being a black widow, though...
