austin: day 1

mikers and i landed in austin today and went through the whole registration badges shite. it was fun! i saw new friend jesse at the registration desk, polsia from gigantic and hung out with the rinse, melissa emert their manager and the ascap crew (la and new york in the hizzouse!) at the iron cactus. the breeze and the sunshine instantly lifted my mood. i really did need to go out to new york. tonight we also have a huge traditional ascap/sxsw dinner and then later a ray benson birthday party. good times! tomorrow the real work begins! wish me luck in austin. it feels really good already though.
