magnet and amusement parks on fire

i went to see magnet at the living room last night. it was a sold out show, and magnet easily charmed the crowd. perhaps touring for five weeks straight will teach you a thing or two about charming the audience... he won everyone over at the show with jokes and a mischievious smile. his songs are just so beautiful and hushed. the emotion that so easily resonates from his voice is painful, tortured and lonely. all of that life and depth from a one-man band. simply and utterly amazing!

i also caught a bit of amusement parks on fire at rothko. they had improved their sound a lot, and played to a crowded room.
