2007 plug awards

the 2007 plug awards will take place february 10, 2007, at irving plaza and will spotlight the indie artists of 2006. with independent music growing bigger and bigger each year, i think it gets tougher and tougher to nominate the true "indie" artists and music industry professionals who adhere and support the indie way. (wow, i think that's the most i've ever said "indie" in one paragraph). oh and it's produced by the wonderful peeps over at jelly nyc. sweetness.

anyways, we all know which albums were stand out this year -- i know i have several favorites from 2006 -- though not too many favorites. i'm gonna take this moment for a shameless plug: to ask everyone who enjoyed dirty on purpose's full length, hallelujah sirens, to vote for it for the 2007 plug awards. it's one of those albums that just wraps around you as you listen to it more and more. once you're hooked, you're hooked. check out the songs on DOP's myspace page...
