wild bee in galapagos in brooklyn. ny, this thursday

i recently ran into an old friend -- a guy whose band i actually booked my first on the moon music show with back in march of 2003 at luxx (r.i.p.) back back back in the day. yes, dear steven mertens, who played bass in the moldy peaches before they took a "hiatus" almost four years ago now.

the moldy peaches were one of my favorite new york bands back then (indie boys are neurotic!), and i was so sad to see them go that i convinced them to do a show together -- only as their separate side projects or solo acts. thus began on the moon music.

which brings me up to speed. now steven is in another band called wild bee, based out of brooklyn, ny. they are a little folk, a little blue. but i like it a lot! check out the music by listening to their myspace site. they have a couple shows coming up:

november 30 @ galapagos
december 15 @ cake shop
