Jinners Hearts The New Year

Um, for those of you who stuck around for the entire set from The New Year at Music Hall of Williamsburg, you know what I'm talking about when I say, they totally blew me away. As everyone stood rapt with wonder, the New Year built their set into a dramatic crescendo. I think my mouth fell open and my eyes were in a daze. I shook their hands right after the set with my head down, so humbled. George from Dirty on Purpose later said to me: "Watching the New Year, that is how sex is supposed to be." Which I think he meant, delicately heartfelt with an intense and passionate climax. Can I also say that I am kind of in love with the Kadane brothers? HUGS.

Dirty on Purpose also put in an amazing set -- of course I am biased, but every time I see them, my heart SINGS. I can't wait for them to step into the studio finally and record some of their new music. That new song "Ways to Drown" is mind blowingly good.

Tre Orsi opened the show with their heartfelt indie rock from Texas. Adorable.
Labels: dirty on purpose, the new year, tre orsi
