As you all know, one of my favorite bands is
The Walkmen. I associate them with the beginning of my love for the New York music scene. I can't even tell you how I felt the first time I heard "Wake Up" and "We've Been Had." It was a transformation for me. Jinners was, indeed, born.
So it's not surprisingly that here I am five years later, still raving about them. I am particularly excited to hear their new album,
You & Me, coming out on Gigantic Music on September 16. You can stream the new single, "In the New Year," on their MySpace.
