Did I miss the memo on how funny ex-Sleater-Kinney member Carrie Brownstein is? She stars in this absurd sketch show about Portland with SNL’s Fred Armisen — called Portlandia. I kind of love it! It speaks to the hipster in me. It’s kind of like every weird quirky thing you ever thought about people who eat vegan and grow beards and wear big plastic frames in one funny show! I love the guest appearance by Steve Buscemi! The show premieres January 21 on IFC.
